about

Sydney/Eora artist Oliver Henry is on a steady and deliberate climb in the electronic music landscape. From dons such as Dixon, Hudson Mohawke and &Me playing his tracks to being tapped on the shoulder to release via Solomun’s label 2DIY4, Oliver has been quietly releasing gorgeous and attention-grabbing audio.

On April 11, “What Could Have Been” arrives – Oliver’s first single off a forthcoming 4-track EP via hometown imprint Gallery Recordings. Unsurprisingly, “What Could Have Been” is a superbly intricate and complex dance cut, a song born from the mind of a brain bursting with musicality. Inspired by a time in his life when love was lost, the song travels a euphoric and hopeful trajectory. Made up of experimental bass cuts, warm synths and delicate percussive sounds, Oliver builds a universe that properly pulls on the heartstrings.

Although “What Could Have Been” is bliss in headphones, it is as the artist says himself “destined for the dancefloor” – a space Oliver is actively moving closer towards…
